O’s Notes: Ron plays piccolo bass on eight plus, a fresh set of eight swinging songs, seven written by Ron. In addition to a strong rhythm section, Carter enlists the support of four cellos. They give the session a classic feel which distinguishes a fine performance. Ron’s work here, mainly melodies, is rich and creative, a continuing evolution from a sure legend!
