O’s Notes: Victor is Jeff Freling (g, vocals) and Penny is Erin McGrane (vocals, ukulele). Their stage names resonate much better than Jeff & Erin! Penny’s delicate vocals are well-matched to the slowed country ballads like “Hide Seek” and the throwback groove on tunes like “Overtones”. We enjoyed the playful spirit and gypsy feel of “Rickshaw Chase” and the bouncy “More In Store”. The vocal harmonies are fun and engaging delivered cabaret style. We found ourselves caught up in the mix midway through! Electricity is the length of an LP, short and sweet. Actually, we wish more artists would leave the dogs in the studio!
