O’s Notes: Pianist Joe Delaney leads a classic trio playing a dozen jazz standards with a classic jazz approach. The program is a nice blend of bop, bossa nova, swing and ballads. Bassist Kevin Mauldin and drummer Phil Tirino round out a band that delivers spirited solos as well as passion. Joe paves the way and the spirit of the band flows to the listener. Emily lives up to its billing as the ‘classic jazz trio’.
