O’s Notes: Bassist Michael Fiorino leads Ensemble 456 including guitarist David Berger and Bobby Schiff on keyboards. Michael also composed 5 of 7 selections, arranged and produced the self-titled album. The program includes brassy electric pop tunes, blues and ballads, upbeat overall and enjoyable. Our favorites are the electrifying “Blues For Lampedusa” and the cooler “Prelude To A Kiss”.
