O’s Notes: Michel is a forty-year veteran on bass and he exudes confidence in his playing. He is smooth in transitions and well articulated anchoring the rhythms and leading the charge. His leads a quintet with Franois Théberge (ts), Piotr Wojtasik (t), Michael Felberbaum (g) and Karl Jannuska (d). Their names may be a little troubling to pronounce for some Americans but I can assure you that these musicians are smooth in their execution and they breathe lots of passion into the music. These are nine originals written by members of the band. This is modern jazz that has broad appeal and lots of energy!
