O’s Notes: Pianist Rachel Z is joined by Bobbie Rae (d) and Tony Levin (b) for this set of contemporary world jazz. Her technique is excellent and well integrated with the band. The music has refreshing characteristics. It presents an opportunity for reflection and meditation. “Kiss of Life” and “Kid Charlemagne” with their funky undertones are among the better tracks.
