O’s Notes: Abigail Riccards has a pleasant voice with warm, inviting tone. She sings a dozen American classics with the support of a strong quartet featuring bassist Neal Miner, guitarist Peter Bernstein, pianist Michael Kanan and Eliot Zigmund on drums. They do a standout job along with Riccards’ simple approach leading to a glorious set. Every time we almost skipped ahead, we found ourselves immersed in the groove.
