O’s Notes: Spaced out is the brainchild of guitarist, bassist, composer and producer Antoine Fafard. He performs with a core including Martin Maheux (d) and Mark Tremley (g). The music has an electronic, funky contemporary sound that invites you to consider it in many different ways. The bass and drum interaction is fierce especially on “Power Struggle”. They are primarily a studio band, rather unusual in today’s music industry but they’ve carved out a niche. Their music will resonate strongly with the progressive rock and funky fusion communities however we encourage a listen as we found more to enjoy on successive listening.
