O’s Notes: Face Forward Jeremy is round 2 for his modern jazz quartet. They are Roxy Coss (sax), David Bryant (keys), Dana Hawkins (d), Chris Smith (b) and leader Pelt playing trumpet. The program is mostly all new sounds composed by Jeremy that are a rather sophisticated jazz-fusion. The band starts to cook on “Princess Charlie” featuring brief scatting by guest artist Fabiana Masili. We also enjoyed “The Calm Before The Storm” written by Coss, “Glimpse” and “The Secret Code”.
