O’s Notes: Marcelle warms up on the second song, “Love For Sale” and her rich vocals ripen to a peak by #3, “Skylark”. She maintains the intensity through a medley including Portuguese lyrics and on an excellent version of “Sentimental”. Gauvin’s interaction with the band is stellar, particularly with Michael Monagan (ts) on “Rainy Afternoon”. This is good listening.
