O’s Notes: Rick plays piano and Vinny plays all types of saxophones as well as flute. They engage in free fusion that was written collectively or alone. Both of these guys are well established on the avant-garde scene as writers and players. They feed off each other’s energy to fuse their collective genius. You can feel their enthusiasm and passion especially on “All Upset About The Kirwood Derby”, one of thirteen songs. Our favorite was “Blue Sphere” with Vinny on contrabass flute.
