O’s Notes: Fattigfolket Park is a quartet featuring Gunnar Halle (t), Hallvard Godal (sax, cl), Putte Johander (b) and Ole Morten Sommer (d). They play eleven original jazz-fusion tunes packed with spontaneous energy. The recording has excellent dynamic range that will delight audiophiles. Solos are aplenty in length and frequency adding to the creativity of the set. The pace and moods are varied with ballads like “Hesperides Park” and the mysterious “Mauerpark” giving this recording lots of character.
