O’s Notes: Guitarist Rik Wright’s funky, fusion band is from Seattle, a quartet with James DeJoie (a-sax), Geoff Harper (b) and Greg Campbell (d, perc). Rik trades melodies with DeJoie on most selections and at times they play in tandem as on “Freezer Jam”, but he also plays rhythm guitar. Fool’s Fate is tilted more towards rock-fusion! We preferred the groove on “Glitter Bomb” the laid back “Nothing But A Thang”, and the peacefulness of “Luminescence”.
