O’s Notes: Jason plays guitar, keyboards, violin and trumpet and is joined by a host of other players. They assemble in many different configurations to deliver a funky fusion set of 16 songs. We liked the rockin’ cool “Out Of The Box” where Jason plays the violin and his brother Chris gets funky on the bass and the funky “Youthful Offender”. There’s some nice vocal harmonizing on the opening of “Love’s in Need of Love Today” featuring Susan Tedeschi. This extensive package has a CD including MP3 encoding, a DVD with 24/96k mixing and many extras accessible via your computer. It works on PCs and MACs with DVD controls as well as on DVD players. It is more fun than an enhanced CD and gives you more insight into the band.
