O’s Notes: INNERrOUTe is a free fusion quartet featuring Joe Vincent Tranchina (keyboards), Bill McCrossen (b), Michael D’Agostino (d) and Rick Savage (t, flugelhorn). Their 2nd CD Formation is a spacey, eclectic mix of twelve selections. They have toured for a few years since their debut and they’ve become more tightly knit in the process. However the remain ambitious and creative looking to push the boundaries with every appearance letting their minds and the mood drive their performance. “Morpheus Awakens” and “InnerOuteTake” are among the best in a fair set.
