O’s Notes: Pianist and composer William Tatge leads a trio with bassist Pablo Menares and Nick Anderson on drums. The New York-based band opens with the heavily syncopated “Illegal Machines” before settling into a more relaxed groove on “The Lay of The Land” and “Hidden Agenda” varying tempo throughout the set. Our favorite track is “Have You Seen Robert Boston?” for it’s complex nature, a great capsule of“General Cargo.
