O’s Notes: Dan plays trumpet and is joined by John Alexander (sax), Steve Bailey (b), Gregg Bissonette (d) and pianist Dan Haerle. They swing through nine new compositions written by Ramsey. By the 3rd track, “14 Is Good”, these guys are really cooking! They play well on up-tempo tunes as well and more relaxed pieces like “Oowa (Sue) In Paris”. Overall this is a solid effort.
