O’s Notes: Tenor saxophonist Keith Oxman expands his trio (from East Of The Village) to a quintet for Glimpses, his latest release. David Liebman (sax) and Ken Walker (b) are the new additions joining Oxman, drummer Todd Reid and Jeff Jenkins who switched from the B3 to piano. Half of the 8 selections are Oxman originals and they are fine tunes to go with three burners and a ballad. We also enjoyed the cover of “In A Sentimental Mood” and the title track that was composed by Liebman.
