O’s Notes: Christiana presents a fresh new voice to the jazz scene. Her voice is strong, rich and packed with emotion. She breathes new life into ten classics like “Midnight Sun” and “Dearly Beloved”. Nicholas Payton provides a perfect complement on trumpet and there’s some nice work on bass from Roland Guerin and with the rest of the band. But we are most impressed with Christiana’s rich vocals and excellent pace and hope to see more from her.
