O’s Notes: There is no doubting the power and beauty of Dianne’s voice and her performance here is no exception. She is graceful, clear and resounding, soothing to our ears. There are fifteen tunes from and inspired by the movie, Good Night, and Good Luck. The newly arranged classics – “Too Close For Comfort”, “Solitude” and “When I Fall In Love” to name a few – are standouts and the accompanying work of Peter Martin on piano and arranger Matt Catingub on sax is excellent. Collectively it is a very good set and outstanding if you’ve seen the movie.
