O’s Notes: Zinn is well known in the Bay Area and has been a featured soloist on many albums. Grace’s Song is his third release as a leader. He surround himself with strong talent notably pianist Taylor Eigsti. Dann plays a passionate and dynamic sax that defines his signature. Seven of the eight selections are originals capped with a fine arrangement of “Stardust”. This release should help Dann expand his fan club across a wider geography.
