O’s Notes: Drummer Jeff Hamilton follows his dedication to Billie Holiday with a set of ten Great American Songs. This time Jeff anchors a trio with pianist Tamir Handelman and Christopher Luty on bass. The arrangements are fresh and lively and the recording quality is excellent. The song selection is true to its billing with a good mix of tempo and feel. We enjoyed all of it. This limited edition disc is worth adding to your collection!
