O’s Notes: Hard Hat is a rerelease of a 1993 recording with the same title by guitarist Allan Holdsworth. He plays in a rock-fusion quartet with Steve Hunt (keyboards), skull Sverrisson (b) and Gary Husband (d). This was Allan’s touring band and they are tight. The heavy use of electronics defines the signature off this session with Holdsworth taking off on solos in his zone.
