O’s Notes: At 85 years old, Freddy finally records an album dedicated to Nat He Was The King. Freddy felt the time was right! The younger Cole sings in his own style and surrounds himself with a first class team including pianist John Di Martino, tenor saxophonists Harry Allen & Houston Person and guitarist Randy Napoleon. Elias Bailey plays bass with Quentin Baxter on drums. Together they recreate the spellbound moods that made the King so magical. Countless musicians have performed Nat King Cole’s songbook but Freddy’s work is special as was that of Natalie, his niece. And it stands as another solid effort from a very good vocalist in his own right, Freddy Cole.
