O’s Notes: Guitarist Mark Kleinhaut leads a trio through thirteen original compositions. They range from a bouncy “Holiday” with Mark burning to the subtle Latin beats of “Sister Cuba”. They get a little funky o “Baby R” and even funkier on “Erika’s 8:30 Rule”. Jim Lyden plays a solid bass solo on “Forgotten Song” but Mark asserts himself throughout showing a mastery of his guitar. It’s a collage of music both fusion and bebop during the same session.
