O’s Notes: The entire band makes a noticeable contribution in this session. The intermingling guitars of Ben Monder and Steve Cardonas with Andres Christensen on bass are featured on “5 Miles to Wrentham” and “Morpion”. Brass harmonies take center stage on ” Luteous Pangolin” and there’s a nice drum solo from Motian midway through “Endgame” along with sweet tenor sax Chris Cheek on “It Never Entered My Mind”. The mood is ripe for a lazy peaceful afternoon.
