O’s Notes: Bob’s brassy big band takes on five songs popularized by Basie plus three Mintzer originals. They do a nice job with Basie’s “April In Paris” and “One O’clock Jump” as well as on “Home Basie” a Mintzer penning that takes on an R&B flavor.
