O’s Notes: This is a fine duet with two established musicians, pianist Bruce Barth and saxophonist Steve Wilson. They seem to feed on each other’s energy starting with cover of Porter’s “All Through The Night” and then moving through several of Barth’s originals. We liked the spirit of “Keep It Moving”, “L. C.” and “Blues Interruptus”. These serve as a playground for Wilson and Barth who seem to frolic in the spotlight. The music was recorded live at a private residence in Columbia, Missouri with a small but appreciative audience. The intimacy is cherished and the musicians excel in the environment giving us a warm, vibrant session.
