O’s Notes: Ayn Inserto is a composer and conductor of the Colours Jazz Orchestra, an 18-piece ensemble. Their music is vibrant, with a Latin feel that is festive and jovial. The fourteen brass musicians provide a powerful layered, tonally balanced approach that doesn’t overwhelm us, rather soothes the spirit. “La Danza Infinita” is the central ballad that balances the breakneck pace. They cap the set with the festive “Subo” making Home Away From Home a celebration.
