O’s Notes: Patrick Williams is a veteran composer, arranger and producer who has worked with many top artists. On Home Sweet Home, he assembles a world-class orchestra that includes Dave Grusin (p), Peter Erskine (g), Tome Scott (ts), Wayne Bergeron (t), Bob McChesney (tb) and many other polished musicians. Arturo Sandoval (t) is the featured soloist on “Blue Mist”. Frank Sinatra, Jr. and Tierney Sutton are the featured vocalists on “I’ve Been Around” and special guest Patti Austin opens the set singing “52nd & Broadway”. All of the selections are originals written by Williams and the performance is first class, a true celebration of friends.
