O’s Notes: Ernie is a blues and ballads singer from the good old days. Hw selects eleven songs from the 1940-1960 era and puts his shtick on each of them. There’s nothing too flashy, nor nothing that’s dead, just a steady dose of good music. Houston Person (sax) is the featured soloist and he’s up to his usual standards adding just enough to kick it up a notch on songs like “The Wildest Gal In Town” and “I’ve Got To Pass Your House To Get To My House”. Load it and reminisce.
