O’s Notes: Herbie’s Trio is an all-star cast including Ron Carter on bass and Billy Cobham on drums. Any of them could lead but it’s Herbie’s date at this reunion concert in Switzerland, 1984. Each of them is in peak form and their solos are exhilarating. The audience is into it and you will be even more so from your easy chair. The video is coming from all angles with seven cameras catching all of the action as if you were wandering around the stage.
