O’s Notes: Michele Pillar sings some of the traditional Holiday favorites along with a couple of originals. She also features Guitarist Larry Carlton on several instrumental arrangements notably “Silent Night”, “Away In A Manger” and “Let It Snow”. The band is solid including polished veterans Nathan East (b) and Harvey Mason (d). “I Hear Angels Calling” is a special tune reaching out to our troops in the mid east war. We enjoyed these arrangements, a well-integrated set and a step above most seasonal recordings.
