O’s Notes: Carol’s voice is fantastic, deep and warm with good tonality. She complements the musicians very well. They are a talented crew including guitarist Paul Bollenbach and Norman Simmons (p). Eleven standards are highlighted by the ballad “Deep Purple” and the upbeat “Cottontail”. There are hints of the legendary Sarah Vaughan throughout.
