O’s Notes: Plotnick’s voice is welcoming both live (at the Triad Theater in New York) and in the studio. She partners with a trio lead by pianist Dan Furman to perform twelve, mostly new songs. “Don’t Blame Me” features a cool scat interchange with drummer Yuji Nakamura. This is an exciting session highlighted by “The Absence of Light”, the bouncy “I Walk Alone” and the funky “Get Out Of Town”. Top shelf!
