O’s Notes: Keyboardist Kari Ikonen assembles a fusion based quartet with Louis Sclavis (cl, b cl), trumpeter Mathias Eick and drummer Ra-Kalam Bob Moses. Ikonen’s compositions are mostly rather spacey placing listeners in the eclectic world depicted in the cover art. Their sound is unique including a brief venture into free space on “Sacrement” with Sclavis leading the charge. There is no shortage of new adventure.
