O’s Notes: Jeri’s voice is warm, vibrant and gentle. We sampled her both live at the Sunset in Paris last April and on her current release. The programs were nicely overlapped. In both cases she displays confidence with free form intros and jazz improvisation using vocalese. While we preferred the spontaneity of the live performance, we remain enticed by the precision and balance of the recording. Either way, our adrenaline is flowing!
