O’s Notes: Drummer Daniel Freedman leads a fine quintet including Lionel Loueke (g), Jason Lindner (keyboards), Omer Avital (b) and Gilmer Gomes (perc). They open with the funky “Determined Soul” featuring Loueke And Gomes. Angelique Kidja adds vocalization on “Baby Ata”. We also enjoyed “The Sisters Dance”. The overall session includes elements that are relaxing, exotic and energetic. All of the songs are originals and worthy of getting used to!
