O’s Notes: Venezuelan guitarist/composer Juanma Trujillo delivers a fresh set of original music with Hery Paz (sax, b-cl, fl), pianist Santiago Leibson (p) and Robin Baytas (d). The album is dedicated to his late grandfather. The music ranges from elemental straight ahead Jazz with lots of Latin percussion to a taste of free jazz on “Rosario” featuring Paz on sax. It’s an eclectic, Latin session.
