O’s Notes: These guys really swing! It is Bob on trumpet and Phil on sax backed by a very tight rhythm section of Jim McNeely (p), Steve Gilmore (b) and Bill Goodwin (d). Bob wrote six of the ten selections, with two from Woods and two covers. The session is vibrant from the rousing opener to a swinging “Ravenswood” and the cool “Q’s Delight”. It’s a winner.
