O’s Notes: Dave is one of the greatest jazz pianists ever. He has recorded countless albums but this one at 86 years old is special for a number of reasons. Three days before entering the studio for these sessions, Brubeck had an accident in a hotel and injured his leg. So he was in great pain during the recording yet he persevered for two days and nailed these 16 tracks on the first takes! These are classic ballads including a few originals. Each is played with emotion and the title is fitting for a man experiencing his Indian Summer. He still brings warmth in his music. This is a set to relax with.
