O’s Notes: Steve Oliver is a contemporary jazz guitarist, vocalist with a positive attitude that helps calm the tides during difficult times. He uses electronics and synths generously along with guest artists on Inner Fire. Oliver sings on “Bounce Back”, and Gerald Albright plays bass on “Hook Shot”. We enjoyed Oliver’s take on Benson’s “Give Me the Night”, the refreshing rhythms of “Missing You”, and the groove on “Phoenix Rising”.
