O’s Notes: Rain Sultanov is an Azerbaijan (just North of Iran on the Caspian Sea) composer and saxophonist who assembles a septet to perform his original music“Inspired By Nature. The band is cellist Linnea Olsson, Yasef Eyvazoz (oud), drummer Peter Nilsson, bassist Yashuito Mori, Iraku Koiava (percussion) and pianist Shahin Novrasli.“They play with an abundance of passion that extends to the listener. This music makes a strong case for visiting the apparently beautiful landscape of Azerbaijan.
