O’s Notes: Intimate Strangers is a collaboration between Portuguese vocalist/composer Sara Serpa and Nigerian writer Emmanuel Iduma. The music draws heavily from Iduma’s latest book, A Stranger’s Pose. Serpa and Iduma take the lead on vocals with Sofía Rei. Matt Mitchell plays piano with Qasim Naqvi on synths. The music reflects the somewhat chaotic state of our world with grief, anger and a sense of desperation, all with a global perspective.
