O’s Notes: David Rubel plays sax and leads a quartet with pianist Winston Matsushita, bassist Malcolm Connor and Robin Claxton on drums. They play seven Rubel originals starting with the title track and flowing through “Ever”. Connor does a nice job on “Perchance to Dream” as does Matsushita on “Krypton” but this is primarily Rubel’s set and he plays passionately all the way through.
