O’s Notes: Trombonist Eric Goletz has been making contemporary fusion on the New York jazz scene for over 30 years. Into The Night… is his latest release of mostly original tracks. Goletz leads most of the melodies notably on “Mr. PC” including an electrifying guitar solo from Henry Heinitsh. The band is a tight unit and they swing on “Cat on the Corner”. We also enjoyed the slow, buttery groove of “Oasis” and the soul warming, “After Hours”.
