O’s Notes: Lisa sings classic jazz in front of a swinging band that includes the wonderful Harry Allen on tenor sax. Rossano Sportiello (p) and Chuck Redd (d, vibes) make noteworthy contributions as well. This is Lisa’s debut and she stands in the spotlight presenting her interpretation of a nine classics including “”Dream Dancing”, “Smile” and “Broken Hearted Melody”. We also enjoyed the three songs that she shares songwriting credit with guitarist Nate Najar, most notably “Break A Leg”. Casalino leaves us hope of an album featuring more originals in the future. She’s got strong potential.
