O’s Notes: This is a cookin’ B-3 trio featuring Steve Snyder with guitarist Joel Tucker and Kenny Phelps on drums. Prime Vintage is a collection of eight originals with a funky, blues groove. The band is in their zone on “Sharp Left”, “Legacy”, and swinging on “Thank You”. We also enjoyed their mellow side on the relaxed “So Be” and “Fourth Sixth”, balancing the session.
