O’s Notes: John Mills is a composer, lyricist and saxophonist who composed both instrumentals and vocals. Invisible Designs features a strong cast of studio musicians and featured vocalist Carmen Bradford who Mills has successfully collaborated with in the past. The lyrics were cobbled together from borrowed excerpts in classic novels. It is an unusual approach that works well here. The music, Carman and the vibe click on “My Disagreeable Attitude”, “Banana King”, “Tidewater” and several others. The sound us unique and will be appreciated by many listeners.
