O’s Notes: Pianist Jim Pearce assembles a fine quintet to perform eleven jovial original tunes. He faces the reality of the great majority of musicians on “I’m In the Twilight of a Mediocre Career”, one of five tracks with vocals. We preferred the instrumentals notably “Noodlearity” and “Refried and Bona Fide”. However our favorite was a vocal, “It Just Ain’t Fair”. Pearce is in his twilight and provides an entertaining experience for his listeners.
